The ribs under the deck.
Detail of the ribs and centerboard.
After the clean out was done I did some light scrubbing, wrapped her up in a new tarp and left her for the winter.
The Luger 16' Leeward Sloop is a kit boat created by Luger Industries of Minneapolis from the early 1950's through 1986. The boats were designed by Orm and Ren Luger in collaboration with Charles Butler & Associates of New York. An engineer for 3M built this particular boat in Minnesota who sold it to me in 1991. The boat now resides upstate NY. The purpose of this blog is to document the rehabilitation of this vessel and the trials and tribulations learned along the way.
